firewood to reduce energy costs
Your energy bills are outrageously high. Even keeping your house's heat at 65, you don't seem to save much on your heating costs. It seems like a good idea to fire up the fireplace or wood burning stove. While firewood is a good thing to supplement the heating of your home if done properly, it is not likely to perform better than oil or gas heat. A fireplace is very useful in a room such as a family room where the family can hang out at night and keep warm, while keeping the rest of the house a little cooler (which is better for sleeping). On the flip side it will reduce your energy bill. A wood burning stove if vented properly can send heat throughout the house. Adding fans to circulate the air also helps get the heat to far away rooms. Keeping up with the wood burner can be a full time job. In the middle of the night, when the firewood is all ashes, you must refill the stove with more wood in order to keep the house heated. You'll need quite a stock pile of wood to get you through a typical winter.
And we know our firewood just like we know our trees. Don’t stress the bodily wear and tear of having to cut your own firewood, when you can purchase 1 cord, 1/2 cord, or 1/4 cord from the professionals at Trees "R" Us, Inc.
